Thanet & East Kent Chess League
The League organises and promotes the playing of chess in Thanet and in East Kent, and it runs competitions for all levels of playing strength. For the latest standings in these competitions, click here to visit the League page on the ECF League Management System.
One-off competitions played during the season:

Played from September to June each year. Teams of 7 players, no grading limits.

Played from September to June each year. Teams of 4 players, maximum rating limit of 1800.

Played from September to June each year. Teams of 4 players, maximum rating limit of 1550.

Played from September to June each year. Teams of 4 players, average rating limit of 1600.

Knockout. Teams of 5 players, average rating limit of 1700.
Competitions played throughout the season:

Played in autumn. Teams of 4 players, 15 minutes per game.

Played in winter. Teams of 4 players, 10-second buzzer.

Played in spring. Individual, 10-second buzzer.

Played in early summer. Each player has 15 minutes per game.

Played in early summer. Jamboree at the end of the season.
The annual Thanet Chess Congress, incorporating the Kent Individual Championships, is held in August.
The League is a member of the SCCU (Southern Counties Chess Union).
